Are you planning a Surfers Paradise stay? With the iconic white sandy beaches, sundrenched days, and cruisy coastal atmosphere, the Gold Coast is a popular spot for holiday makers and locals alike! Surfers Paradise in particular has so many attractions to explore. Here are a few of our favourites to add to your holiday itinerary.
Skypoint observation deck
Located on the 77th levels of the famous Q1 building on Surfers Paradise Boulevard, the Skypoint Observation Deck gives you sweeping 360 degree views of the city and beaches below. Use the high powered binoculars available to zoom in on areas of interest.
You can watch the waves roll in while you enjoy a meal or cool beverage from the SkyPoint Bistro + Bar. Select from a buffet or a la carte breakfast from 7:30am, or sample from the all day dining menu from 11am onwards. Whether it’s a sharing platter, high tea, or a good craft beer that you desire, you’ll find a delicious range of options to enjoy along with the view.
Old time photos
Old time photos has been a favourite for decades, with this year marking its 30th anniversary. Choose from a huge collection of costumes from the olden days - gangsters, gun slingers, sheriffs, outlways, saloon girls, gatsby, Victorian gentleman, or southern belles. Whatever style you choose, you’ll look the part for your photo shoot!
Singles, couples, families, team mates, groups of friends, or co-workers can indulge in some good natured fun and get their picture snapped in full costume. The scene will be set with onsite props such as a classic car, saloon bar, or heritage home complete with a piano! The images are edited to look like old style pictures with sepia tones, and are ready in just ten minutes.
Padlock’d Escape Rooms
The Padlock’d Gold Coast escape rooms are an exciting experience requiring the powers of logic, thinking outside the box, and the ability to channel Sherlock Holmes and solve clues. The concept is quite simple, you choose from four different escape room scenarios and then you have 60 minutes to work out how to escape.
Choose to investigate a top secret facility to find the commander in the Pipeline room. Wake up to a nightmarish scenario that must be escaped by midnight in the Nightfall room. Discover yourself chained to a wall threatened with joining the undead in the Daybreak room. Work to find your way out of a secret spy house before you are caught.
Regardless of which scenario you choose, you’ll be required to stay calm and keep a level head as you figure out a way to escape before the clock runs out. Test out how well you work together as a couple, or come with a larger group of up to 6 per escape room. It’s creepy, gets the adrenaline pumping, and you’ll love it!
